Transportation wile in Punta
Hotel Atlántico is located in the most central point of Punta del Este, therefore you will find most of the activities and attractions within walking distance, especially during off-season where all the activity concentrates in the Peninsula area. During summer season, there are other seasonal spots that are worth the visit. Here are some tips about transportation within Punta:
- CAR: Cars can be rented for minimum periods of 24 hours, and can be rented at the hotel´s front desk or at the many rental car companies that operate in Punta. The hotel offers free outdoor parking (limited availability, first come first serve basis).
- BUS: • The public bus service in Punta is safe and efficient. There is a bus stop a few meters away from the hotel that can take you to most of the points of interests in Punta. If you want to head to the east beaches (La Barra, Manantiales, Jose Ignacio), or west beaches (Punta Ballena, Las Grutas, Solanas) it´s better to take the bus from Punta del Este Bus station, that is about 1,200 meters from the hotel. - MULE OR ELECTRIC CARS: They are ideal to move inside Punta, within the Mansa and Brava bays and beaches. They can be rented at the hotel´s front desk.
- BICYCLE: Punta has an extensive bicycle path network that can take you from the hotel to most the beaches in the Brava and Mansa bays. Bicycles can be rented at the hotel for periods of up to 24 hours due to high demand. For rental above 24 hour periods, bicycles can be rented at the front desk from third-party suppliers.
- TAXI: Taxis are available 24 hours upon demand at the Front desk.
